Model 70 1st det. coil
#1

Hi All,
I'm working on a model 70 and I have an open primary winding on the 1st detector transformer- Philco part no. 03083 item number 6 on the schematic. Does anyone have the info on how many turns, which direction and gauge of wire? Any info would greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Took a quick look at the diagram and the winding you are looking to rewind is a non frequency determining (untuned) The number of turns is not real critical. What I would do is use some #36-38G wire. Rewind to fill the same space of the original. I would suspect it's about 55 turns. You can determine the direction when you remove the old one.

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!

Thanks for the info Terry! I pulled the coil out and found out the direction (should have thought of that earlier!). I've measured the width of the winding and will try to count the turns.
