There's no Catagory for this.....
#1

...but it could be in the Why didn't I think of this Sooner department

Here's an idea that I hope you can use.  Another engine stand!  But, it is very strudy and (I hope) adaptable. Works good on this little Delco.

Easy for a fabrication shop with an NC laser or plasma and sheet metal brake. I have model and .dxf files if needed. I suppose you could do this by hand with a bandsaw and drill press.

The Prototype looks a little different than the print, because I lengthed the Front 1", and the Back 1" for better Center of Gravity and roll to the top without hitting the knobs.

Thank you,
Simon

Looks like a useful tool!

With that stand you could really get your face in there. Careful for getting solder burns on your nose.

Maybe I need stronger glasses (to save my face).

Ok Phlogiston; just for that, I’m going to send you one! It may take a couple of weeks...

Thats great!
You should sell them. Many of us don't have the tools to make one.

It might help Kirk in not setting his beard on fire.(!) Icon_lolno

Someone should move this thread to "Test Equipment".

Thank you all for the complements! Much appreciated.
I will make some available in the next 2 weeks or so.
If you see a chassis that this won’t work on, lets see a picture. Maybe I can accommodate.

Simon,
Looks like a good idea and very simple too. I'm interested too!

Thank you Henry; I'm having some made; plus I added some height adjustment (see attached)

This is turning into an ad, and ads are not allowed in the regular Phorums.

Simon, when you have the stands ready, please feel free to post these in the For Sale or Trade section.
