Speaker
#1

Anybody got a picture of an original speaker that went into a 1932 52b Philco Cathedral I assume it was a 5" Electrodynamic
Doubt whether I would get a working one to install

Hi Peter,

I don't have a 52b in my collection, but I believe that it uses the same style of speaker as the 80b.

Hi Peter and welcome

Here are some pic of the 6" speaker from a model 81. It's physical identical the one that was fitted to your set. You can go here: https://www.philcoradio.com/phorum/showt...hp?tid=215 Go to spkr zip and open the file. Within there is the specs most of the Philco speakers pre 1937 or so. What you looking for is a P2 speaker. It will tell you all about the speaker. It's also listed in the library but it's not as extensive.

I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!
