Philco Radio Tube Analyzer
#1

I have an old tube tester and was trying to find some information on it.

It is a - Philco Radio Tube Analyzer Radiotechnic Laboratory Evanston, Illinois - Model R Series B.

I was surprised to find the only photo or information I could find on the internet that was close to the one I have is on this link,

https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/1...b948999c6#

but this picture is only the very top of the tube tester. (It looks like the top is all that was left of this one and someone mounted it on a board and sold it.)

I don't know if anyone would be interested in it, or would have the time to point me the right direction to find someone else who might be. I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Dave

You might try giving Steve Johnson a note: https://stevenjohnson.com/testers-misc.htm
He has a lot of info on old test equipment.

Hi Dave.  Did you ever find out more about your tube tester?  I found one of my own and information on it seems pretty scarce.

Almost looks like something out of an old Penny Arcade. Neat!

No matter where you go, there you are.

Neat old tester. Now, to find the settings chart to go with it ! Someone must have one somewhere. Folks, if you have one, let these guys know ! Or, ask on Antique Radio Forum

Hey Folks - I just acquired the portable version of this. If I am lucky enough to find more info on this, I will post it here. -- Andy

Although I have manuals and service information for a fair amount of Philco test equipment that appears to predate everything for which I have information.

Bought this from a guy who was tearing down an old barn. The only other one I’ve seen was on here.
