Test Equip Allowed?
#1

Not quite a radio, but it is over 62 years old? Have received a Heathkit model TC-1 tube tester.

Meter movement is broken. Takes a 1 ma at 100 mv movement.

Any one know of a serviceable replacement source?

Hole that it fits is 3 inches. 3 5/16 H. x 3 3/4 W. scale viewing area.

If this is not in the right spot please feel free to move to proper location.

Thanks,

Gary

I'm not sure but the last piece of Heath gear I saw with a meter used a Weston made meter. What part of the movement is broken? You could try opening it up and repairing it but it is a delicate job.

The set screws that allow the coil movement to pivot are not able to be adjusted.
It appears that the dial side set screw is missing a point on the moving coil to allow it to be set properly in balance between the two set screws.

Thanks for the info, I'm trying to locate a suitable replacement to keep using the test set.
