GE F63 dial faceplate
#1

I am restoring a 1937 GE F63 which has some surface rust areas on the dial faceplate (see photo). The dial surface appears to be some sort of plating like anodize or allodyne. I have tried various shades of touchup paint but none match at all. Does anyone know what the surface finish is and if it can be replicated? If I can refinish the surface I should be able to use Photoshop to touch up the graphics and get a decal printed, but before I strip it down I would like to be sure that I can replicate the original finish.

Thanks,

Steve D
