speaker replacement
#1

I have a Wards 1942 Airline radio model 14BR-1109A. It has a 12 inch speaker that should be replaced. The only info I have is a P/N BE114261 T9. It is also marked 200ohms.
Does anyone know of a replacement?
Thanks.

So what did your P/N BE114261 T9 come out of? Is the original speaker missing?

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Got your pm and if your could post a pic of the spkr and small tear it would be helpful. You will probably have to downsize the pics to meet the phorums size requirements.

Tnx

I've seen worse. If the voice and field coils are good, a little rubber cement and tissue patches on the surround should fix it. Also a felt disk to protect the gap between the voice coil and magnet pole.

Agree 100%. Also, for what it's worth, it looks like a 1940 Philco speaker...
