Hello Everyone, I am back working on my Philco model 51-930 My big question of the Day is what type of grease should I use to lubricate the area where the pointer scale rides alone as you can see in the photo below .
my first thought was white lithium and the other grease that i have on hand is super lube and last is good old Phone lube.
i would try paste wax or silicone spray applied with a brush. grease will dry out and attract dirt. or nothing at all. is there a problem? pioneer receivers of the 70's used a plastic "shoe'' inside the pointer cavity. the dimples are the only contact areas and shouldnt develop much friction

I've had good luck cleaning it really really well, then polishing the point of contact with 00 steel wool and a dremel to an almost mirror shine. Smooth as butter after that.
