Thanks, Ron - I need to get a couple of monsters onto the bench, including the 14-tube Howard 425-A. Propping a chassis up on chunks of 2x4 doesn't cut it.

You could also try what Mr. Caldeira uses, like on this Saba, others have screwed squares of plywood to the ends of the chassis for support. Somehow I've always managed to do without, such as standing the chassis on end when it's too tall to flip upside down.
