Philco 41-610 BOL Transformer Issue?
#1

Hi all, I'm in the process of restoring a 41-610P with the BOL tonearm, record cutter and the microphone. I have the little black box transformer and know where all the connections go. I assume it's a mic pre-amp but there seems to be no information about this device in the web. It's sealed and apparently never intended to be serviceable. I'd like to know how to tell if it functions properly. I measure a short between the two elements of the mic jack. That doesn't seem right. I'm attaching a photo.
Love to hear if anyone has experience with this device. Is there a schematic?
Thanks. -E

E- As I remember, it is transformer with no serviceable parts inside. It either works or you need to replace it with a working unit. The schematic should show what is inside. I don't have it handy, but you should be able to check it in Riders.

The 41-610 schematic is here:

I've also split this into its own topic since it is a different radio we're dealing with here.
