Hello PHORUM members,
I am still working on restoration of my PHILCO 37-640. I want to start with rewiring the IF cans What gauge of wire should I be using?
Also can anyone tell me where to order the rubber grommets/shock mounts that mount on the tunning capacitor? Thanks--John

Are you talking about rewinding or rewiring?
For rewiring, meaning runnin wires to the coil from other components, the AWG does not matter much.
Any wire of a reasonable size that can be worked with, from AWG18 down to AWG 26 with proper voltage rating will do.
Grommets are at Renovatedradios.com
Or at Lowes/Home Depot.

Thanks for the info but I doubt that a hardware store would be carrying the proper tuner assembly support mountings for Philco tuners. Also, you mention wire guages of approriate voltage--What is the voltge?

Renovated Radios do carry what you need.
As for the voltage, a wire should be at least 300V-rated.
