Spotted a Philco in Fort Worth, Texas
#1

I’m on a long weekend vacation with my wife in Fort Worth, Texas and saw this model 46-1209 at a record store in the Stockyards. I sought out the store owner and told him that it was exciting to stumble upon. He had no idea about it other than that it was dated 1946. I told him that it was a Philco model 46-1209, and was close to the model 46-480 that I’ve been working on. The only difference is that his has a turntable but no FM, whereas mine has FM but no turntable. He seemed excited to learn a bit about it. It has a placard saying not to touch it, but he let me fiddle around with it a bit.
