Information on the Other Front Runners of the Era
#1

Good morning, folks! I’ve got a question. We have such a wonderful resource as philcoradio.com for service manuals, general information about the radios sold in each production year, and so forth. It’s a great resource for the curious mind as well as the aspiring technician. Are there similar websites to research into the other front runners of the day such as Zenith, Silvertone, Truetone, RCA, etc.?

The Radio Archives has a very extensive library of photos listed by manufacturer, it can be helpful to find a model if you only have an image, no tech data though. There is a Mark Stein book on Silvertone, models and tells you actual factory, no tech data. There is a Firestone web page out there and maybe some others. Radio Museum has photos and basic info, like tube line ups, speaker size for a lots and lots of sets. Good rainy day project to catalog all the decent reference sites.....Paul

No kidding! It’s been raining cats and dogs in Oklahoma today! But the Sun is finally peaking through.

It's not  philco but I use it quite often for Marconi radios which are Canadian.
