Found your site from a post that Jayce had posted, about an Old Courier. I'm asking for a friend that has to move and can't take hers with her. It turns and hums. Any idea what a fair asking price would be for this? I came across myself a couple old boxes of tubes that were my grandpas, sure wish I had his old radios.
Thank you for any help. Here is a picture.
I am not familiar with Courier radios, but unless it is known that this is sought after (which I doubt) like some models of Zenith, this being a console, I suspect it could bring $50 or, on a good market day and with, for whatever reason, an eager buyer, $100. In the first place there should be a buyer, and they do not just walk by.
An ad in local Craigslist or a forum of local radio enthusiasts/societies could help.
Bringing it to a local swapmeet and having reasonable asking price also could help (though when someone moves this might not be a good option).
Honestly, this being just one radio (unless there are more tham one), the effort to sell irt could cost more than the radio will bring.
People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
