Model 87 Audio input xformer and output xformer to 45 tubes
#1

Does anyone know the impedances of these transformers or a way to calculate it from a tube manual ? I see many transformers available and might work but they are too expensive to play hit and miss.

Thanks

Hi Jim,
If it is the trans #25 connecting between the first AF 226 and the second AF 245's you can use the Hammond HX124A from Radio Daze. I used it on mine and it works great. Hope this helps,
Richard

Richard:
Thank You ! Half my battle is over. That was exactly the transformer I was considering but unsure until you verified it.
Now I am chasing down tou output transformer from the plates of the 45's to the speaker. One side of the primary is open. I was considering the Hamond P-T1615.

Jim, You are talking about the trans on the speaker #36. If so check all the connections. I had one that had the same problem. I checked and found a bad solder connection at the trans side of the cable. I cleaned and re soldered and it worked fine. If not, I will try to get the resistance of the trans for you to match.
Richard
