BOL Changer platter removal
#1

I have a 41-608 with a BOL changer that needs a new idler wheel. I'm ok with working on the radio section but this is my first attempt at working on a changer. Can anyone tell me how to remove the platter from the spindle? I don't see any c-clip or anything to remove. Is it pressed on or what? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm afraid I can't help you with this issue; and from the sound of the crickets, looks like no one else here can, either. Sorry.

I suggest you contact West-Tech Services and ask their advice. They've rebuilt 1941 and 1942 BOL changers for me and many other folks; they will know how to disassemble yours.

Was able to get help from another post I replied to. Apparently mine was just "stuck". A little gentle persuasion from a flat blade screwdriver under the platter was all it needed. Now on to the next problem - but I'll make another topic for that, since it's not related to the changer.
