Philco 17 photos needed
#1

Hello, would any of you be willing to take some close-up photos of the underside of your Philco 17 chassis/wiring? My model 17LZX chassis is a mess underneath with many wires just hanging. I have managed to figure out where about half of them go, but some pics would definitely help with the rest.

Interesting- several of the leads "hanging" were filament leads. Weird......

This set also has what can only be described as an "imaginative" recap of the filter block, one that involves three layers of connectors either screwed to the bakelite blocks or soldered to God knows what....

So far every time I have worked on this set I end up with a major case of the ___. (three letter word for one's posterior) But my calm, reasoned, analytical self, the self that I try not to listen to, keeps shaming me into returning to it, and ultimately to another case of the ___. (see above) I am convinced that communists have taken over my calm, reasoned, analytical self. Or maybe I confused the medication again. Hmmmm.....

Hello TA,

I have a model 17 that is a code 122 or 123 as it has the 5Z3 rectifier tube. It is basically untouched - I have not done anything with it yet. I would be glad to take some pictures of what ever you need.

Send PM with email.

Tom B
