Hey 7estatdef... I've got a Philco 42-RP1... that has record player and the wireless am transmitter... and it has the 6A7 tube, lights up and I'm getting 3.3 ohms on the two fat pins.
Could that be my problem, it transmits, but very low... it has another tube, 84, and I had another 84 to swap it with, but it didn't make a difference. I puzzled as to what could be the problem. Thanks

Probably the cartridge. You can try another source of audio that is hi z. Did the 6A7 fix up your radio?

Please, folks, don't start a new subject in an unrelated thread! If it isn't related to the subject at hand, start a new thread! Otherwise, a lot of people will miss your questions!
I have therefore split the two posts above from an unrelated thread into its own thread.

I haven't received the 6A7 tube yet to try.. Maybe next week, And I've used my IPad's output with music and that didnt change any thing, it's still not very loud..
Seems like this thing should have an antenna...
