Help please
#1

Hi,

I have a Philco Automatic Stereophonic Radiogramophone model 94.

The radio turns on but the tuner wire is broken. The turntable works fine but I would think it needs some kind of service.

I have searched the internet and I can't find any info regarding this model anywhere.

It still has the paper cover on the turntable and the original instruction book and delivery receipt. It was delivered to it's first owner in August 1961.

Please could anyone tell me what this model is worth.

Took a quick look in my Philco service info and couldn't find anything on it. It might by out of Canada. As for it worth not much maybe $20-50.

Whooo! That baby's got a beautiful shine. I would have no qualms paying 30- 40 pounds for that one. Sorry no further info I can provide.

The finish looks like that of many German sets of the fifties and sixties, while many folks are not interested in that vintage of a set I have to say it looks wicked cool. That is what we say in Boston, Mass, USA. when we like something. Like to play a Vera Lynn album on that one!

Good luck.

I know that it has a BSR Monarch record changer in it, so it's very likely a British made Philco.

I wonder how close this is to a 92 Radiogram? UK Vintage Radio service data has a schematic for the 92:

The cost for the download is a pretty reasonable 1 pound 99.
