Home Made Tube Shields
#1

I was missing two of the necessary four tube shields for my Philco 44. Out of necessity and impatience, I took one of the round tube shields, measured a sheet of aluminum foil 3 times the length, folded it down twice, used the tube shield as a roller to roll up the foil, then taped the end with high voltage grade electrical tape. LOL Don't knock it, after that I variac-ed the radio and I was greeted with a gospel church singing some kind of praises...sorta reflected my inner thoughts. Yee ha
