Cap metal can that has a hole in the side of it
#1

I have a 12uf Cap metal can that has a hole in the side of it. Are there replacements you can get just to make it look original or will I have to leave it on the chassis with a hole?

Hi Jerm

Your options will be to use an old electrolytic from another radio, or perhaps an old, tall, large diameter Twist-Lock electrolytic with the bottom flange cut off.

This assumes the original electrolytic is clamp mount. If stud mounting, an old electrolytic from a junker will be your only option.

Jerm,
I answered this on another of your threads. Loosen the nut and turn the cap so you can't see the hole? Or maybe there is something leaking out, then I'd suggest replacing with a generic can to fill in the chassis hole like the original.

I don't have any spares or I'd send you one. Keep an eye out and you may find a junker chassis (even if it's not the same model).
