Phono Cartridge resistance
#1

Does anyone know what the resistance should be for the D 10-A phono cartridge? Thanks for any input.
#2

Specifically no idea, but any working cartridge should respond a bit to stimulus of needle. Crystal or Ceramic cartridge more so, should give some response when hooked up to an amp. Magnetic cartridge would have pretty low resistance, and very small output compared to other types. Dried up cartridge with no output and seemingly infinite resistance is probably no longer good. Hope someone else can be more helpful!

Thanks, codefox... I havent finished the radio yet so I cant test it in that way. I thought someone had mentioned in the past that the cartridge hsould have a certain rsistance. if i am wrong on that then I guess I will have to wait until the radio is finished to see if the phonegraph will work. Just hopeing to get an idea in the meantime. Icon_smile
