91X winter project
#1

Hey all,
Well, now that the long nights and cold weather have come to Wisconsin, I can start another project. I bought this 91 chassis on Ebay awhile back to use for parts on a 91 cathedral I have. After looking at it I realized that this was the chassis for the dual speaker console of which I just happen to have an empty cabinet forIcon_thumbup So, I'm starting restoration on the chassis and will do the cabinet next spring. The chassis is pretty dirty but is complete, and it looks like the only repair it ever had was one filter cap replaced. Suprisingly, I even have a matching Mershon cap to replace it with. Unfortunately, the shadowmeter coil tests open, I'll have to look at it and maybe I will be able to repair it rather than rewind it.

Should keep me busy for awhile!

Kevin that looks like a good winter project. Sure looks unmolested. Are the globe type tubes original and has that transformer in upper middle of pic been hot ?
Good luck.
