Philco 116X
#1

The lamp socket is missing on my 116X, is it a screw type socket or a bayonet type and how does it attach ? Anyone have a picture of the assemble like a top or side view. Thanks in advance. Oops forgot too mention that's it's the shadow meter lamp socket.[Image: http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a508...24d03e.jpg]

it would use a screw type lamp.

I just got done with a 116x a couple months ago.

Here are some pics that might help.

If memory serves the socket for the shadow meter was just a clip that the bulb slid into. The bulb was threaded.

Don't mind all the crap on my side yard, had it out there while I was cleaning the chassis.

Hope the pics help.

Thank you Keith that's the kind of views I needed, now I can move forward on this restoration. It's a lot easier than the 37-116 we just finished. By the way we are working on another 37-116 and all the electronics are done, Monday we start on the alignment. Hope to post some pictures soon on that project. You must have caught the backwards electolytic on your 116X. I know I'm rambling back and forth but that's just me.

Thanks again.

Good luck with the restoration,

I have a bunch of other photos that might help you out.

You can see the album here: http://s1129.photobucket.com/user/ipwiza...lco%20116X

I also have the service data sheets from my Philco Service manuals if you need them send me a PM.
