Bass control doesn't work. Philco 42-380
#1

While I was restoring the cabinet and replacing the grille cloth, knobs, push buttons and escucheon to my 42-380, my friend recapped and fully serviced the electronics. He also repaired some minor tears in the speaker, replaced the dial cord and added a 35mm input for an mp3 player or whatnot. I just got the chassis back tonight and eagerly reassembled everything. It played great, but there was just one disappointment though. The bass control knob isn't working. It doesn't seem to be free-wheeling, but it just has no effect on the tone. The treble control is fine as is everything else. Thoughts?

Nothing. It's Thanksgiving and I don't want to bother him today.

PT, bother him tomorrow. Something was either not wired properly of not replaced.Icon_cry
