Philco 46-200 Ivory

I just started messing (spending money) with antique radios and I'm going to start with a 46-200 that my grandfather had. I just bought an ivory one on ebay to match his brown one but seems to have been painted. Did the ivory bakelite radios have the color all the way through or was it a coating.

Not sure. The 46-200I may have been painted.

Yah, the "I" (ivory) version of the 46-200 was indeed painted.
