Well this was a long day. Started at 7:00 this morning and there were lots of people buying and selling. I perused the aisles and found many nice radios for great prices.
I cant remember everything I bought but I know I got 9 philcos a Silvertone tombstone 1850, and a Zenith. I only bought the zenith because the woman said she was going to paint it... I gave her the money and left quietly... I got a really nice 90 that only needs little bits of gluing here and there, a 70 that will need a minor TLC, (3) 610 bullets, another 41-22CL, a big ol' 16B, a trutone 727 and?? I cant remember. I passed on an 89 for $70, a 60 for $60 and a 118B for $40. Not one philco chairside at the meet!
And to answer all your questions... no 690's anywhere.
Met up with a few forum guys and spent hours chatting and dealing.
Tomorrow should be another fun day. I left before the bonfire though.
found a few "the fishers" see pic, sorry Ron
Last was the guy who ripped out the radio guts and made them into doll houses...... see pic

Thanks for the pictures, Kirk. Hope you had a good time.
No worries about the Fishers...let's just say I had an inside connection ...and two more Fishers (not the ones in your photo) will be heading this way soon.
Well, I sorta take my words about the Walton guy back - the workmanship and detail of those miniature radios inside the Walton are amazing, I have photos.
That's quite a haul! I thought you were taking a break from buying radios. Not that I'm pointing fingers. I couldn't resist either. Its like being a kid in a candy store up there
Nice haul indeed. But I believe that model Truetone is known to have woodworms so you can send it along to me for treatment. Ill return it when the process is complete sometime around 2071. Just messing...good batch of stuff!
The Trutone is nice but it needs veneer work. someone cut out the damage and just toned and waxed over it.
I didn't even want it but I bundled it with the 70 from the same seller for a better deal. Figured it was worth.....ok take the total if the radios, divide it by 2, multiply the integer.... Lets say $70.00
Mike, John, Terry, Ian and Tim were all still there when I left and Mike couldn't stop looking at that AK
I got this 620 cabinet free and am hoping to take the veneer but again I am having second thoughts.... UGH!
If someone wants it come and get it. I will not! keep this one. It is for the veneer only
Hey Kirk looks like you did alright for yourself! Must have needed a wheel barrow to haul it all out of there...lol. There was a nice 60B cathedral there in kit form. The guy had it all taken apart with the chassis and speaker in a box and the cabinet sitting along side so that one followed me home. After I see what you bought I am surprised you let that 60B behind. I'm sure you will have all yours looking brand new soon, wish I had your cabinetry skills.
