Hello, New member here and proud PHILCO owner. I picked up a working model 46-1203 Phongraph/radio combo at a flea market recently. It came with a matching table. I do have to admit that I was not completely convenced it went with the unit. I looked it over and the tables finish did seem to match the radio's cabinet very closely. Then I found the same PHILCO logo/name branded on the front in small letters. I have searched the Internet and failed to see this exact pairing anywhere else? Were the tables offered seperately? Was this optional?? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Also, I would like to know the size and type bulb for the radio dial. It didn't come with one in the socket.. I have nothing to go by??Thanks in advance for any info you can give!

Welcome to the Phorum! I can't answer your question but others might be able to. If you post a couple pictures it might help. See this link on how to post some pics http://philcoradio.com/phorum/showthread.php?tid=29 .

There were Philco tables made, but unsure of the dates made.

Tom, you're too kind. Thanks.
Nitehawk - can you please post a picture, or pictures, of the table in question?
I will try to look this up over the weekend; it will help a great deal if I have a photo or two to go by.

I might be able to shed some light on this. In my Philco week newspaper insert, celebrating the production of the 20 millionth Philco, for the week of October 27- November 3, 1947, Philco offered this Walnut Phonograph Table, a $22.50 value for free with the purchase of a model 48-1256 radio / phono combo. The 48-1256 is the same as the 46-1203, so I suspect they offered this same table the previous year as well. I've seen them in pictures, and they do have the gold foil PHILCO decal across the front edge. Here are a couple of scans from the newspaper (apologies as it is too big for my scanner bed).

Bingo! That is the very table I was thinking of...I've seen those tables on eBay occasionally, and I wondered what they would have went with...now I know. Thanks for chiming in and posting the ad.
I'll still look in Philco Furniture History, but I seem to recall that the only tables in there are a couple of Baby Grand tables made concurrently with Model 20.

No problem, Ron. Glad it was of use. Incidentally, the same "free" table was also offered for those who purchased a 48-482 during "Philco Week".

I finally remembered to go downstairs and look in Philco Furniture History. The table isn't mentioned. So, I guess all we know about it is from the ads Greg V. mentioned.

Too bad we haven't heard back from Nitehawk to confirm that this is the table they indeed have.
