Happy "New" owner of a 91X
#1

Hey everyone,
Well, Craigslist did it to me again! I am the proud owner of a 91X Icon_biggrin! This was listed about 60 miles from me for $75, I saw it last Sunday and called the seller and bought it over the phone. I had to wait until today to go get it, but the guy was very nice and agreed to hold it for me. When I got there he said he had a lot of calls from people wanting this set, but I was the first and I made it VERY clear I was going to buy itIcon_lol!!! I gave him a little extra for being good enough to hold it for me. I have to say that even though the grill cloth is gone and the finish is kind of rough on one side, this is one of the nicest Philco's I've ever gotten. Here are some pics.

Nice find! I have a 91X myself, though I think it is the slightly later cabinet. You will find this to be a good sound radio and performer rebuilt. I envy your speakers, the cones in mine are patched together so bad that I either need to get the reconed or replace them completely.

No matter where you go, there you are.
