More 91X pics

I finally had a few minutes free to pull the chassis and back of my acquisition and check things over. Very clean chassis, no rust whatsoever. Underneath only repair is the replacement of the AC line caps. There are signs of melted wax from the power transformer that I am a little concerned about, but everything looks okay otherwise. The speakers are darn near mint!!!! Also found about 100ft of heavy gauge antenna wire coiled up behind the back panel! Still has the two original 42 globe amp tubes which is pretty neat. One tube has a "New" 12-6-53 sticker on it, so this set was going for awhile. So, for now I did a quick clean up on the chassis and cabinet and it now resides in my house. Now! Back to my chores!
P.S. Why is it that there is ALWAYS at least one missing chassis mounting screw?!!!!!!!

It looks like the lacquer is lifting in some places, such as near the speaker grille, and it looks like someone brushed some sort of clear coat over the top, like varnish or shellac. But other then that it looks like a good solid cabinet.

Wow! The cleanest I've seen. It's a great performer on the BC band. Hope it sounds as good as it looks!!!

I really, REALLY need to get my speakers reconed now! Mine is an example of what happens when you take the console apart and leave it sit in a backroom for 10 years! Seemed every critter attacked my speakers in that place! I like these units though, good sound for the time.

No matter where you go, there you are.
