I picked up this 38-116 this morning while visiting in NY.  The cabinet has a very nice originnal finish.  The chassis has only had one e-cap replaced.

I agree.  I restored one a few years ago for a cousin and it was as good a player as my 690.  It looked much better finished that I would have thought.  I have three of these right now in partial restoration, this being the nicest cabinet.
