Rescued 49-1275
#1

Here it is, the 49-1275 console I found and saved from being recycled at an industrial salvage and recycling company of all places! Seems pretty complete and the CRT tests really well. It's a Philco 12LP4A, but it might have been replaced as the lettering on the base of the tube is orange instead of the yellow I am used to seeing on Philco tubes of that era. If it isn't a replacement, it has very few hours on it! The phonograph is an M-15 changer and the power cord from the radio chassis to the changer runs through some sort of extra switch in the cabinet. Wonder what that is for? The off-on switch is on the changer itself. Radio is a basic, transformerless, seven tube FM-AM setup for the time. Kinda disappointing there.

Thanks. I don't know who might repair it yet, but I couldn't leave it to be recycled. Goes well with my little 10 inch console that I need to dig out and check out.
