Welcome Turtle! Can you post a pic of your Philco model xf19? If so, that would help alot in determining the value for your resale-value question. Im confident that it would be worth your time posting a pic of your Philco xf19 here, and perhaps we can help you find more info on it as well?

That is a 1940, Model 40-180. Where do you see xf 19? On the blue and white paper sticker on the inside wall of the cabinet? On the chassis somewhere?
That would not be a model number. Chuck Chuck Schwark, The Philco Repair Bench [Image: http://www.philcorepairbench.com/images/philog3tiny.gif] http://www.philcorepairbench.com

...unless that is a Canadian Philco, in which case it is a Model 19XF.
Where are you, Turtle? In Canada...eh? Can you shed some light on this? -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand IN

Well...there...you...go. Mystery solved.
To answer your intital question about your set...find a copy of the most recent edition of Slusser's "Collector's Guide to Antique Radios." It is available at many bookstores and antique malls, and via this link: http://astore.amazon.com/philcoradiocom/...1574325493 -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand IN
