Look What Followed Me Home Today!
#1

I'm a proud owner of a 37-630 Code 121 console! Pretty nice shape. The cabinet needs a little work. None other than the Fred Taylor looked it over and pointed out several places that need some help.

BTW, Fred is a genuine nice guy. I saw his work and his work in process today. Amazing talent, that's for sure.

This one will have to wait till the 60B gets done, then the 116-122 Standard Version gets done. I'm posting the 60B now and will do a series on the 116 too.

This is so cool. I got it at a good price too! I don't think that grill cloth is the right stuff. Fred was pretty sure somebody pulled a cushion off the sofa and used that for the grill! LOL!

Nice radio. Had 37-640 (look similar) - very nice performer. And pleasing to the eye when restored properly.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

It will get restored properly. And with Fred only a phone call away I'll get expert advice on the cabinet!

Nice find hope it turns out to be a keeper!

I believe that the front end is the same as a 37-640, same band coverage, RF deck, and IF deck, but the power output stage is single ended rather then push pull.
