Tool for Philco Compensating Condensers
#1

Where can I find a tool for adjusting the trimmers (compensating condensers) in the Philco Cathedrals (Model 60, 89, etc)? It looks like I need a small socket wrench-type tool (pencil size) that will fit the little hole and the little nut. It should be non-metallic of course.

It has to be somewhat "hollow", since there is usually the end of a threaded post sticking out through the adjusting nut.

You guys know what I mean.

I try to adjust them from the side with a pair of needle noose pliers. To say this doesn't work very well is an understatement.

Thanks,

Yes, I used a ball pen tube and heat formed it around a nut of a proper size.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
