38-690 grill cloth
#1

Evening Guys,

I am looking for a supplier for the grill cloth for my 38-690. I checked a couple of places I have on file and cannot seem to locate it.

Seems I had located it some time back but am unable to do so at the moment. Any ideas??

Thanks,
Dave

Philco "Ribbed" cloth, Pattern #14.

There have been numerous discussions, and disagreements, as to the authenticity of this cloth. On most Philcos using this pattern, the cloth was originally more of an olive hue, that faded to a golden brown over time. The olive color was formerly available from these suppliers, but is no longer available. The golden color looks good and is a nice substitute. That's one man's opinion.

Thanks Ron,

I will probably order from RadioDaze. The color from Grillecloth.com appears to be more red than brown. Yes, my cloth which is original and in fairly good shape is more olive than brown. With that said I do not have much of a choice at this point---RadioDaze it is.

Thanks again!
Dave
