Mystery Philco set.
#1

An older gentleman friend here in town runs a shop, and has this interesting piece in storage. Icon_eek  My guess is it's a custom job someone very expertly put together as a PA system. Any thoughts anyone? Dunno  Can anyone tell what chassis this might be Icon_question

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Yeah Sam it just needs a couple of 42 toobs. 10 watts of Philco's Super class A triode connected 42's audio. Just like my 660L
Probably play fine!!!![Image: http://philcoradio.com/phorum/images/smi...on_lol.gif]

One of a kind looks to me, perhaps was converted into a pa system with radio for news and entertament  ? I dont see a speaker perhaps external speakers. Very early boom box that you would have to have a long extenstion cord, ait that right Kirk. Its a cool piece.
