645 Chassis in a 640B cabinet?
#1

I have a orphaned Philco 645 chassis, speaker with escutcheon from a console. I have an opportunity to pick up a 640B cabinet only. The 645 is 3 band while the 640 was 4 band. I was wondering if the 645 would, first, fit the 640B cabinet and second, if the dial would line up properly with the escutcheon opening? I would use the 645 escutcheon. I know the speaker probably would not fit Icon_wink

The 645 chassis will fit perfectly inside the 640 cabinet.

Interested in a trade? I have a 645B cabinet I wish to keep. Having no 645 chassis, I stuck a 650 chassis inside.

The 640B and 650B cabinets are the same.

PM sent.
