Dial removal, 37-675
#1

How does one remove the dial from the 37-675? This is the preset dial mechanism that was also used on the 37-690, 38-690, and the 38-1. I just picked up one of these console rather cheaply and it's in near perfect condition except for the grill cloth.

Hi Pete

I was going to scan Bulletin 273 for you, which gives complete information on the Philco automatic tuning mechanism and how to remove the dial scale, etc. However, I see Chuck has already done it; so rather than duplicate his work, allow me to direct you to his website:

http://www.philcorepairbench.com/autodial/index.htm

There are four links at the bottom of that page, which are the four pages of Bulletin 273 in PDF format. You should download and save all four for future reference.
