New guy philco 38-62 console
#1

This is my first post and introduction.
My first radio restoration, I have some electrical background from automotive hobbies and radio controls.
Looking to restore and add some new features to the radio.
I have heard of adding a raspberry for Bluetooth functionality. Never done this but sounds interesting.
Supposedly its not visible but can be added to the current vintage setup with small amplification.
I'm here for need of a new quiet hobby and the love of vintage things.
Sorry for the large images. This will be the last of that.

Welcome to the Phorum. That radio is a great set to start with. It's a transformer powered All American 5, not overly complicated for someone starting out, and will be a decent performer when you are finished, able to pick up a lot on the AM broadcast band. You will want to make yourself an antenna for it, preferably an outside one, if you want to get the best results.
