Have a problem with the cover for the record player not opening all the way..

Will not open past 3/4 way  do not want to force it  What am I doing wrong?

If you remove the two screws on the side bracket, open the lid all the way, and re-attach the side bracket with the pivot arms up instead of down, it should work.
