Drawing shows tube 27 (DET-AMP) having a shield?
#1

Philco Model 90
The drawing on the 3 tube shield shows a tube with a shield. (The DET-AMP 27 tube)
The chassis I have does not have a shield there, nor any indication there ever was one.
Do I need to obtain a shield and install one?
OK, was searching for a 2" x 4" shield and can't find one; If I need it, where might I get one???
See Pic

Part 2,
There is a vertical clip on the chassis between the tubes.
Did this hold a shield for the DET-AMP 27 tube, or what was it for?

There are different versions of 90.
Is yours the one in the drawing?

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Yes, it is exactly that one. This is the picture that was on my 3 tube shield.
Just noticed, there are three small bolt studs on the surface around that tube. (The DET-AMP 27)

That was my next question: is there a base or the signs of it being there at some point.
I guess you answered it.
The thing looks like a spring clamp. I wonder how it held the shield...or is it even for it?

This version uses a flat plate that fits in the clip between the four tubes.

Hi Steve,  I might be able to fab something. Does this completely envelop the tube or what sides and or top does it cover.
