Old Philco Radio Id Help Needed ( Please)
#1

Hello I was hopeful that someone might be able to provide me with a potential answer to my question. I am trying to identify the year and model of this radio

·        I have reviewed multiple Philco catalogs in the 40 to mid 50s time frame and I cannot find this particular radio (see attached) which I own and I am trying to replace some tubes etc. ( The radio works the phono does not ) . The number on the back on a piece indicates S48343

·        It has a Voice of Music record player in it. Any idea would be appreciated
Thanks
Ken

Philco 42-1009

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Please contact Nathan Slingerland here on the Phorum if you wish to furnish photographs of your radio to the Gallery which could use some good shots of one like yours. You will see in the link above that the set in the Gallery has drapery fabric instead of the original grille cloth.
