46-1209 complete radio rebuild
#1

can anyone lead me to a good source for a complete radio rebuild. I would mail them the guts to refurbish. I heard it would cost from $200-$300...sound about right? Thanks for helping.

I think most folks here are sort of do it your selfer. If you have a little bit electronic knowledge we are more than happy to guide and encourage you along. I use to take in some jobs but I'm finding it hard to keep up with what stuff I've got.(too much) You may check the site under Resources and I think you may find someone there.
Good Luck it

I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Rebuilt this very radio for a local man here in SC. It wasn't an easy restore given the chassis is cramped underneath. Recommend you find a local old radio repair guy. I would avoid shipping it for handling damage. The speaker would need to shipped with the chassis too. Bound to be a radio collector in your town who can direct you to repair man within driving distance. Richard
