Good morning, I apologize, I use Google Translate.
Belatedly, let me introduce myself:
I'm Sergio, from Italy. I'm 80 years old and a self-taught antique radio enthusiast.
I found a Philco 60B at a flea market and am trying to get it to work. I rebuilt all the Bakelite and electrolytic capacitors, replaced the resistors and other capacitors that were out of tolerance, and checked the medium-frequency, input, and oscillator transformers. I noticed that the secondary winding of the oscillator transformer had been rebuilt. Checking the DC resistance, I measured 1.88 ohms instead of 3.4 ohms. The wire diameter is approximately 0.2 mm, or, if I'm not mistaken, AWG32.
Do I need to redo the secondary winding? I don't have any information.
Could any experts help me?
Thanks in advance.
Sergo.
