Whats the generally expected material used for dial cord a the early philcos like the 87 or 95?

I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Not sure about the 95 at present, but the 87 uses stranded steel wire.

Wayyyyyy back I fixed an 87 with some picture frame hanging wire but I didn't know if that was the preferred method. Haven't taken the 95 apart but it has the same dial.
