Fianlly got my 42-380 up and playing, and it plays great! I recaped and repaired one bad wire that the rubber had peeled off of ( Put shrink wrap over it) blew two 6X5 tubes before I figuired problem out with wire).. I did notice after it plays for a while the transformer does get rather hot to the touch. Hot but not so hot you can't hold your hand on it and keep it there. Is this normal? If not is it safe to play this way?
And I want to thank everone who responeded to my other post on this radio as there info made it possible to get this far with it. Thanks Again!
