Philco ? Simplex
#1

What is the story on the Philco/Simplex Radio that just sold for over $7000 on ebay. Was Simplex part of Philco at some point.

Can't believe the Radio is that valuable.

Cheers,

Hi,

Philco bought a controlling interest in Simplex in 1937 and by the 1939 season and beyond an increasing number of the Philco sets were made in the Simplex Sandusky complex. See http://www.firelandsradios.com/philco/
