Alignment for silvertone 7224 Mistakes in photofact?
#1

Hello guys,

I've been trying to align a silvertone model 7224 chassis 528.46400 Transoceanic clone. My first experience with this particular model.
I purchased and downloaded the Sam's photofact set 382 folder 11.
After going by the alignment procedure I was worse off than when I started.

I have refurbished many Zenith, Hollicrafters, as well as RCA multiband receivers with very little or no problems, but this thing is driving me up the wall. I finally got the AM band tracking correctly by completely disregarding the alignment instructions and going by the seat of my pants. I'm thinking there are mistakes; not in the alignment procedure itself, but in the pictures showing the location of the various tuning coils and caps. Has anyone else had this problem. I'm sure the tuning condenser is not shorted as I have the Am working well.

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated
