Philco 15X cabinet dis-assembly
#1

Have any of you ever restored one of these cabinets? In order to adequately apply lacquer to the control panel, columns, and sound-board, the cabinet should be disassembled. BUT so far I have not figured out how.

Suggestions?

I've tried to dismantle my 15DX with no luck so far. I removed a bunch of wood screws which did loosen the top portion up, but not enough so that it will come off Icon_confused

The sound board should come out, the columns are likely doweled in place so it's likely a chore to get them out. The control panel may or may not come out easily, if they were kind they would have only used screws, if they were not kind they may have used a blob of two of hide glue as well.
